I spent most of my summer and fall working on websites. My fine art and digital art photography went on hold. This time was also spent on reflecting on my photography and where it was going. Did I want to do more abstract photos? Did I want to stay with portraits and horse photos? did I want to do fine art photographs?
This week I decided to clean out old photos. The external drives I use for my images were getting too full. I did delete a lot of photos that I haven’t used. Some photos of clients that have passed, that was a sad journey.

I came across this photo of an agave that I took in 2013. I like the composition but the color was flat. I decided to add some purple and magenta to this Agave Art piece. I did this by adjusting the hue on individual layers in Photoshop.
To balance all the red I added some deeper greens and some aqua. Then I painted in some purples, grays and yellows. I also adjust the shading. All in all I have a ton of different layers and I like what I got.
I’m offering this Agave Art image on my Etsy shop as a 16″ x 24″ and a 8″ x 12″ print. I can print it as large as a 20″ x 30″ image. I’m back in the digital fine art photography grove.
