Pet Portraits

I took a couple of online pet portraits photo classes this week.  Some of it was a review but I did learn a lot about both my camera settings and poses for dogs and cats. Cat Portraits

Of all my photographic subjects I find wild birds and cat portraits the most challenging!  My access to wild birds is either in my backyard or a field trip away  But for cat portraits I’m fortunate to be owned by an orange tabby cat by the name of Buster.  Buster is a most photogenic cat and for the most part cooperative. Dog Photo Session

One of our Marana client’s Julie, called in August wanting a dog photo session.  She had a new rescue Doberman pup Shadow.  A photo session with the Dobie was in order.  She also wanted her husband Jim and their Rottweiler, Hot Rod in the photo.  Hot Rod had some serious health issues.  It wasn’t clear how much longer he would be with them. Senior Horse Portrait Session

Second time around for this senior horse portrait session was successful!  The first time I went out to take photos of Mc Dee’s senior horse Cyndar-Ella, was the fall of 2014.  Cyndar was 33 years old and McDee wanted a photo of her asap.  Cyndar lives on Mc Dee’s property in Catalina, AZ.  The property offers wonderful views of the Catalina Mountains. Equine Photo Session with Michael
